KEMPTON PARK RACES 2016 -- WEDNESDAY NIGHTS #37 30th NOVEMBER

End of November now and only one month left ahead of us for this year, as we progress to this our 37th meeting of the season we do remain in good form with a couple of nice winners last time out means we carry on in profit. Add that to the success of the season long "lay bets" too which has been impressive given they are generally short price favourites.

The fact that our results are declared to SP I think it's clear we would be much further ahead to advanced prices. We crack on with our regular Wednesday nights at Kempton all the way through until the years end. The season has seen us ebb and flow, last week we picked up another couple of winners and therefore showing a profit of
+21.01 points. All being equal we can find some more winners and now continue through into the turn of the year.

As always our focus will be on the handicap contests for each meeting but will occasionally include a feature listed or conditions event too. Keeping records of our endeavors to a 1pt level stake at SP, naturally we will personally be looking to get better odds but for the purpose of the results we record to SP.

We will also keep up with our occasional lay opportunity of short priced favourites, we failed with our last LAY bet [we've only had three failures all season] which isn't bad when most are short prices as a result we have a success rate of 17 from 20. Results for this will be kept separately too and hopefully we can remain at +85% for the rest of the year.

This week there's another eight race card on offer, we have five handicap contests to review and tonight's action will commence at 16:25 with a 5f Handicap contest.

Here is a link to this weeks race card; EVENING RACE CARD

The going on the polytrack surface is described as Standard to Slow and the current weather forecast is for a dry day with a max temperature of about 6C when the meeting gets underway and remain cold but dry during the evening. The weather is predictable for Winter is upon us now and it's time to get the gloves and jumpers out, and it'll be time for the King George meeting too in a month.

Here are our selections for this evening's handicap races;

16:25
 -- 5f Handicap.
Our opening contest on a fairly uninspiring card has attracted a field of 10 runners and it's the two last time out winners ASK THE GURU and LADY JOANNA VASSA that will probably dominate the market. I can't fancy those even in this poor grade at their forecast prices so will chance TASAABOQ [6th 16/1] against this pair.

16:55 -- 5f Handicap.
The best event on the card is this class 4 sprint and that's a clear indication of how bad tonight is, despite DYNAMO WALT appearing again (having won nicely for us three weeks back) looks too short this time and we'll be backing last years winner BURNING THREAD [8th 12/1].

18:55 -- 1m Handicap.Recently the high draw hasn't stopped us finding a few winners so we are not put off that our two selections for this event have stalls 10 and 11. BELIEVE IT [8th 15/2] and MUSIC MAJOR [2nd 7/1] have recent good form and the latter should be hard to keep out of the frame based on last two wins at this venue over the mile trip.

19:25 -- 1m 4f Handicap.

A high draw won this last year and the jockey booking for Josephine Gordon for DARK AMBER [4th 10/1] as she takes over from a number of claiming jockeys, rates a good chance after a month break at 10/1.

Will also include another 6yo MRS BURBIDGE [Non Runner] who has been mixing hurdles with staying flat races and should be fit enough to make this a good test of stamina.

19:55 -- 7f Handicap.
We conclude with this 7f contest, good luck if you managed to come of this meeting ahead, there's 14 declared so we will go with a pair against the field. BLACKTHORN STICK [9th 16/1] though drawn high does have winning form here and along with ARCANISTA [4th 7/1] can be considered value against the rest.

Staked -- 8 points
Returns -- 1 point.

Results for tonight will be updated throughout the evening looking to add to the current overall profit figure
+21.01.

No winners this week, so with the non runner we lost 7 points brings us down to +14.01 to take forward into December.
Lays -- 17/20.

Our next Wednesday evening meeting at this course will be on 7th December, it's back to a regular weekly fixture till the end of the year so see you next week.
