LAST MEETING
Bury 1 AFC Wimbledon 2 (18th October 2016)
FORM GUIDE (Last 6 in league, starting with most recent)
AFC Wimbledon -- LWWDWW
Bury -- LLLLLL
LAST TIME OUT
Northampton Town 3 Bury 2
AFC Wimbledon 2 Bradford 3
Although we only played them recently in the league (a 2-1 win) I'm certain we have plenty of fans going again to cheer on the boys in Yellow and Blue to more FA Cup glory.
The boys were on a decent run of form prior to last weekends defeat to Bradford and should be confident of making it through into Round Two against a Bury side that is expected to be missing about 8 regular players. If we can then keep a good run of form going then Round three is very possible and the potential for more funds to support us through the season. However lets get ourselves through round one first eh.
Updates will be published with team news and more as and when it comes through.

First Half Comment;
Bury got us underway on this cold afternoon in the cup, and create the best of the opening chances with James Shea called into action a couple of times in the first few minutes. The Dons fight back with Lyle Taylor having a couple of efforts of his own but both go wide, lively opening from both sides.
Bury open the scoring in the cup tie on 28 mins, a throw in reaches Hallam Hope in the centre of the area and a crisp right foot shot makes it 1-0 to the home side. It's not long before it gets worse for the Dons as the same player scores an almost identical goal to make it 2-0 before the half hour mark. Come on Dons you got plenty to do now.
F/T Score – 2 - 2
Match Summary;
The Dons came out fighting again this half and didn't take Lyle Taylor too long to reduce the deficit with a clinical finish into the top corner bringing them back into the match. Not long afterwards Tom Elliott scored another header to bring the sides level, he's been popping up regularly now in the box with important goals. Plenty of time for a winner now.
Alas the winner did not come, and we will have to do this all over again in just over a week's time.
My Man of the Match – Lyle Taylor.
Referee -- Our referee for this important first round FA Cup tie is Jeremy Simpson from Lancashire. A league referee since 2012 he also took charge of the Conference Play Off final that year at Wembley which Luton won 2-1 against York and has been taking charge of Championship games this season. Does appear to be a little bit card happy so don't be surprised if we see a few of those today either.
Attendance – 3,236.
