KEMPTON PARK RACES 2016 -- WEDNESDAY NIGHTS #33 2nd NOVEMBER

October was indeed a good month for us and we managed to clear our losses and turn into Profit for the year, we hope that November will continue in a similar vein for us. looking ahead to our 33rd meeting of the season. Although it has been an up and down season to go through 10 months and now be slightly ahead too is good going, the fact that these results are to SP I think it's clear we would be well ahead to advanced prices. So we crack on with our regular Wednesday nights at Kempton all the way through until the years end.

The season has seen us ebb and flow, currently we are a only a little behind and showing a profit of +6.66 points. All being equal we can find some more winners and now continue through into the turn of the year.

As always our focus will be on the handicap contests for each meeting but will occasionally include a feature listed or conditions event too. Keeping records of our endeavours to a 1pt level stake at SP, naturally we will personally be looking to get better odds but for the purpose of the results we record to SP.

We will keep up with our occasional lay opportunity of short priced favourites, we were back with another successful lay last week [we've only had two failures all season, both of which were odds on favs] which isn't bad when most are short prices as a result we now have a success rate of 15 from 17. Results for this will be kept separately too and hopefully we can remain at +88% for the rest of the year.

This week there's another eight race card on offer, we have three handicap contests now so will include the listed event at 19:55 tonight's action commencing at 16:55 with a 2m handicap.

Here is a link to this evening's race card;
EVENING RACECARD

The going on the polytrack surface is described as Standard to Slow and the current weather forecast is for a dry evening with a max temperature of about 8C when the meeting gets underway and remain cold but dry during the evening. The weather is predictable for Winter is drawing near now and it's time to get the gloves and jumpers out.

Here are our selections for this evening's handicaps and the listed event later too;

16:55 -- 2m Handicap.

We kick off tonight with a long distance handicap over two miles, restricted to 3yo's and there's not many that have form on the trip so staying is going to be a little taken on trust or based on pedigree.

LE TISSIER [5th 6/1] was one we backed last time out at Chelmsford and didn't fare too badly on first try over the trip so is given another chance to shine.

19:25 -- 1m 4f Handicap.
The one with the best level of form here is bottom weight CLIFF FACE [5th 10/1] a filly from Sir Mark Prescott has already picked up a couple of races and wasn't too far away last time out either, should take advantage of the conditions and weight concessions.

19:55 -- 1m 4f Listed Stakes.

A decent race for the Wednesday night fixture which is a pleasure to see instead of packing out Saturdays with them all, BERKSHIRE [5th 10/1] and WESTERN HYMN [WON 5/4F] are the stand out selections assuming they can be as effective on the surface as they are on the turf.

20:25 -- 1m 4f Handicap (3yo).
Our finale tonight is another basement contest for three year olds, not a great line up but LITTLE ORCHID [9th 6/1] is in decent form and only just failed last time out at Brighton, won't get many more better chances to go one step further.

Staked -- 5 points
Returns -- 2.25 points.

Results will appear here during Wednesday evening as we aim to increase our profit of +6.66. Alas it was a small losing evening and we now drop to +3.91 points profit.

Lays -- 17/19.  Was going to be none tonight but there are a few good looking options in the maiden events tonight that we will now include.
17:25 - KITTY BOO [LOST - 3rd 10/11F] and 18:25 - ALOUJA [LOST - 8th 11/8F] Both priced up as fairly short favourites and both look beatable and beat them both we sure did so that's a great result tonight and we now 17/19 for the year.

Our next Wednesday evening meeting at this course will be on 9th November, it's back to a regular weekly fixture till the end of the year so see you next week.
