KEMPTON PARK RACES 2016 -- WEDNESDAY NIGHTS #36 23rd NOVEMBER

Not long to go this year and we still carry on in profit, as we progress to this our 36th meeting of the season we do seem to be in good form and the success of the season long "lay bets" too has been impressive given they are generally short price favourites.

The fact that our results are declared to SP I think it's clear we would be well ahead to advanced prices. So we crack on with our regular Wednesday nights at Kempton all the way through until the years end. The season has seen us ebb and flow, last week we picked up another couple of points and therefore showing a profit of
+6.51 points. All being equal we can find some more winners and now continue through into the turn of the year.

As always our focus will be on the handicap contests for each meeting but will occasionally include a feature listed or conditions event too. Keeping records of our endeavours to a 1pt level stake at SP, naturally we will personally be looking to get better odds but for the purpose of the results we record to SP.

We will keep up with our occasional lay opportunity of short priced favourites, we failed with our last LAY bet last week [we've only had three failures all season] which isn't bad when most are short prices as a result we now have a success rate of 17 from 20. Results for this will be kept separately too and hopefully we can remain at +85% for the rest of the year.

This week there's another eight race card on offer, we have four handicap contests to review and tonight's action will commence at 16:25 with a 1m 2f maiden contest for 2yo's.

Here is a link to this evening's race card;
EVENING RACECARD

The going on the polytrack surface is described as Standard to Slow and the current weather forecast is for a dry evening with a max temperature of about 8C when the meeting gets underway and remain cold but dry during the evening. The weather is predictable for Winter is drawing near now and it's time to get the gloves and jumpers out.

Here are our selections for this evening's handicap races, don't have much time so just able to update with selections this week and hopefully back to normal next week;

16:55
 -- 7f Handicap.
SUMMERSAULT [WON 17/2]  /  SHOWTIME BLUES [7th 8/1].

18:25 -- 6f Handicap.
THE BIG LAD [5th 6/1]  /  CINDERS [11th 16/1].

19:25 -- 6f Handicap.

The best handicap race of the night has attracted a field of twelve where the first selection is JUSTICE GOOD [WON 12/1] who has been campaigned at this level (and above) so it's good that he will have a chance of this mark of 95 having been as high as 109 this season, is priced about 12/1 and that's a good win/place option

The other selection in this event is GENTLEMEN [3rd 20/1] who having won 7 out of 22 starts, including here off a mark only 1lb lower than his current rating of 94. With that and a 3lb claimer in the saddle should be up there too and 20/1 is a nice price if the wide draw can be overcome.

19:55 -- 1m Apprentice Series Handicap.

OUTLAW TORN [8th 14/1]  /  PLAY THE BLUES [9th 33/1].

Staked -- 8 points
Returns -- 22.5 points.

Results for tonight will be updated through the evening looking to add to the overall profit figure
+6.51. Won the opening handicap so we already assured of a profit no matter how the rest fare. Looks like it could be a good night, and it was indeed with a 14.5 point increase in profit we are now +21.01 ahead.

Lays -- 17/20.

Our next Wednesday evening meeting at this course will be on 30th November, it's back to a regular weekly fixture till the end of the year so see you next week.
