KEMPTON PARK RACES WEDNESDAY 12th AUGUST 2015

Good evening all ... We got it together again last week and had a nice winning evening so good to see normal service is resumed now we're back under the lights at Kempton Park.

Hope you enjoying your summer and that it gets warmer again soon, we did well in the last few meetings and go forth into this one ahead still for the year with a profit of +22.97 points to a level stake at SP.

If we can keep in front for the whole year that's impressive enough for me whatever the final figure. Anyway lets crack on with tonight and target this winning line once more....

A link to tonight's race card can be found here;

We've a 7 race card tonight with just the 3 handicaps [I don't include the 2yo nurseries] so compared to most nights it's a light lunch to feast on tonight, we'll be racing under the lights from 6:10pm with a 2yo Nursery event over 7 furlongs, our first handicap is at 8:10pm.

Here we go with our selections for tonight's handicaps;

20:10 - 7f Handicap
12 runners face the starter and it's the top pair we look to go with tonight, both GANYMEDE [5th 12/1] and ELIZONA [3rd 10/1] are down in grade having contested better races on turf at Goodwood and Doncaster respectively. The latter has the aide of a 7lb claimer which should also help bring her into the equation.

Are both similarly priced in the centre of the market around 10/1 so possibly to back the pair against the field and if better than 12/1 we'll take the place market too. Got the place up on Elizona ok, near miss but covered the win loss.

20:40 - 1m Handicap (London Mile Series Qualifier)
Another round in the mile series for 3yo's and just the 8 appear tonight for us to peruse. It's a tough call but BRITISH EMBASSY [4th 10/1] has been fairly consistent around 7f and if stepping up in trip is going to help this is a relatively easy track to try it out on.

One who is coming back down in trip a little is BIG McINTOSH [WON 11/1] though slightly up in class too, has been on the go the last few months since running away with a race at Lingfield last month, could be interesting in the place market at least. YES GET IN Big McIntosh. Means another guaranteed profitable night at Kempton.

21:10 - 1m 4f Handicap
The finale tonight sees a pair at the head of the market who I think we can take on, MR FICKLE and CHARLIES MATE have recent wins and both have 6lb penalties as a result.

However they don't look the types to run up sequences, and they might take one another on so at least the market should be open for the rest of the field.

SALIENT [Non Runner] is a good old performer and did us a nice turn at Brighton last year, even at 11 years of age I wouldn't be surprised if he can't go close and he has won this year too.

Another successful night thanks to Big McIntosh and the place success for Elizona, +8 points for the win figures at SP and means we now have a profit for the year up +30.97 points.

The sun goes down ... thankfully the lights are on.
