Saturday gets under-way at 2:00pm with a maiden contest over a mile and 73yds.
The feature race today is the Galway Shopping Centre Handicap Hurdle over 2m 6f and will be under way at 4:45, and 20 runners will face the starter.
As mentioned on day one our recent years have focused on the horses from trainer Dermot Weld and we will continue to track his progress this week though we might also offer one or two other selections in particular the feature races if no Weld runner is declared. And NEW for this season we intend to follow the success of JP O'Brien who often has a nice priced winner and seems to have taken well to training and has the ability to be as good as his father in time.

Results will be updated on Saturday early evening and we'll have one final day racing on Sunday which will also be published during the afternoon. Has clearly been the worst Galway meeting for the trainer since I've been following him, will not be surprised if he calls it a day very soon.
