10th Meeting of this season ...
This will be our 10th meeting of the season this Sunday afternoon for our system that focuses on Pontefract racecourse, West Yorkshire and we've another fixture to enjoy getting underway about 2.20pm.
The second of our 3 family Sundays at Pontefract.
Sundays are extremely special at Pontefract – it truly is a day for the entire family to come together. With a huge range of activities including a funfair, facepainting, circus, free sweets, activity packs, racecards for kids, pony rides, trips to the start of races, a Hunt the Golden Horseshoe competition!
This Sunday is the 9th Annual Go Racing in Yorkshire Summer Festival. It kicks off at Ripon on Saturday 16th July and concludes with our special Family Day on Sunday 24th July.
The highlight of our 7 race card is The Listed ‘Skybet Supporting The Yorkshire Racing Summer Festival Pomfret Stakes’ which was won last year by David O’Meara’s hugely successful globetrotter, Mondialiste, who went on to win a Grade 1 race in Canada and finish 2nd at the Breeders Cup!.
Currently showing a loss of -33.81 points to level stakes at SP. It's just over half way through our season here and there's still chances to get this on track, we've another 6 meetings to get that back.
As always we count ALL results for this meeting returned to a level stake at SP, and will also show any forecast results too in the daily results but these do not count for the profit / loss figures.
The forecast going is currently reported as 'Good to firm' the weather for Sunday afternoon is for a fairly cloudy day in the most part, and a good chance of some rain. The max temp is going to be about 24C but probably a little cooler by race time with plenty of cloud cover.

Another losing day, so many places and we have to add 11.25 to the balance to carry over to the next meeting.

Not the best of days and seems to be the season that breaks us. Lots of places, only the one winner. We keep going but it's painful now.
