2015/2016 FOOTBALL SEASON. AFC WIMBLEDON vs OXFORD UNITED (A)

SATURDAY 10th OCTOBER 2015

Had a long weekend away last week and thus missed out on the Dons 2-0 home win against Barnet, seems they only win when I am away so I definitely WON'T be going to Oxford this weekend.

High-flying Oxford won 2-0 against Swindon in midweek (Football League Trophy) but they had lost their last league fixture a week ago to the mighty Accrington Stanley 1-3. They will still be a strong fav to hold the Dons at the Kassam Stadium. Oxford have long had the "Indian Sign" over the Dons, it took us many season to even score a goal against them let alone take a point or more off them.

Our hosts have started the season well and currently sit in 5th place, have only lost once and are unbeaten at home so far. If the Dons are to sprint a surprise we need to be more ruthless in our finishing and take the chances that our play creates, a couple of goals from corners wouldn't go amiss either but we must keep Danny Hylton quiet and stop their current top scorer Kemar Roofe from adding to his tally of 8 thus far.

We'll update on Saturday before kick off with the confirmed starting XI for both sides and any further news as it comes available.

First Half Comment;
YAWN !!

Wake me up if something happens.

So far the first 45 mins has been -- You hoof it to us, we'll hoof it back. Blimey Rugby is more interesting than this dross. 9 corners and not a single decent effort on goal from either side, can only hope that it improves in second half.

At least Ajayi had the sense to go off injured so he doesn't have to suffer this rubbish any more.

F/T Score – 1 - 0

Match Summary;
The curse of the Kassam continues, another 1-0 loss, can't really complain since we didn't create that much, passed it about ok but there's no end product.

We are where we deserve to be, an average middle of league two side. Currently 14th, we've been roughly here all season -- Won't go up, won't go down (this season) we can only hope to improve and get the good news about the New Stadium before too long.

Man of the Match – George Baldock.

Referee --
Fred Graham (Essex), is very experienced and been in charge of games up to Championship level, but his 7 matches this season have seen 28 yellow cards so might have to keep an eye on how he clamps down especially how he deals with Adebayo Akinfenwa if he plays.

Attendance – 6,301.
