RACING ON THE BEACH. LAYTOWN RACES THURSDAY 10th SEPTEMBER 2015

Laytown Beach "Racecourse" there's simply nothing like it. 

2015 will be the 148th running of the event which was first recorded in 1868. Laytown races occupies a unique position in the Irish and English racing calendar as it is the only race event run on a beach under the rules of the Turf Club

Race day is planned for Thursday 10th September. 
Gates Open: 2:00 pm. First Race: 4:10 pm.

Of course this is based on the predicted tides and might change but usually goes off without a hitch. Going is likely to be sandy and wet !!
