PONTEFRACT SEASON 2014

[Sunday 27th July]

The tenth meeting of the season from Pontefract, with an excellent start to the season we've had a recent barren spell by our standards yet even so we're still in front albeit just the +7 points for the season based on a level stake at SP. 

Do feel a bumper Sunday coming on and although I will be away visiting the Isle of Man as well as getting ready for Goodwood and Galway meetings later. 

Will try and update while I am away, if that's not possible it'll have to be a case of wait and see. It's not after timing as the criteria for the day is established and won't change hence our selections will be pre-determined too. 

Racing gets under way with a 7 race card on Sunday at 2.20pm;

4.40 THATCHERITE [6th 14/1], RUBYS DAY [4th 10/1]

5.10 ENDLESS SEAS [6th 25/1], HANNO [2nd 10/11]

5.40 PABUSAR [2nd 5/2], MAJESTIC MANANNAN [WON 7/2]

Just back from a well earned break to the Isle of Man, so sorry for delay to the results. Almost a break even day actually a small loss of -1 point. But as Majestic Manannan was backed at 20/1 down to 7/2 in reality the profit was very sufficient for us personally, that said we do results to SP so we do currently stand at +6 points for the season. 

Next race meeting is on Wednesday 6th August.

PONTEFRACT SEASON 2014

[Friday 18th July]

The ninth meeting from Pontefract, and it's another evening meeting ... we started off things really well peaked at +31 points profit but couple of poor results means we are down to +9 after 8 meetings. Still the early events proved it's still viable and we carry on into the second half of the season.

Tonight we begin at 6.30pm with a maiden contest for 2yo's. 

6.30 -- RED HARRY [5th 25/1], STOLEN STORY [7th 4/1]

7.00 -- DARK AMBER [3rd 10/3], SOME SITE [4th 6/4]

7.30 -- ADAMS ALE [6th 4/1], JACK LUEY [N/R]

8.00 -- MAYFIELD BOY [2nd 7/2], IMSHIVALLA [WON 6/1] Forecast paid £26.16

8.35 -- LADY BUBBLES  [N/R], BUY OUT BOY [8th 16/1]

9.05 -- LUCKY LODGE [4th 17/2], BAINNE [N/R]

Sadly only the one success with Imshivalla but not enough to prevent another losing day. Small loss of 2 points today and not wanting to get too down but it's becoming a sequence and we want to get back to winners soon.

Overall still in profit +7 Points after nine meetings. 

Let's hope for some good fortune as we enter a busy few weeks with Goodwood and Galway also coming up. Am away for the next meeting but will still post results when I get back since the "method" is already known the selections will not be affected by my absense.

PONTEFRACT SEASON 2014

[Tuesday 8th July]

The eighth meeting of the season from Pontefract, with an excellent start so far, despite last weeks first losing day, we go forth once more into this one still ahead +19 points for the season based on a level stake at SP. 

Hope the big crowds that are in the area following the Tour De France will pay a visit to the track and enjoy an excellent day racing on 4 legs rather than the 2 wheels. 

Today's meeting is a 7 race card and racing begins at 2.30

3.30 LEXINGTON ROSE [N/R], GOLD CLUB [4th 5/2]

4.30 SUNRAIDER [4th 6/1], HADAJ [8th 3/1]

5.00 HOPE FOR GLORY [6th 50/1], MIZZOU [WON EVENS]

5.30 BUY OUT BOY [8th 9/1], SI SENOR [N/R]

Another poor day for us today, just the one winner at Evens and the couple of Non Runners means we lose another 10 points from our profit which is now down the just +9points. Never mind we are still ahead and there's always the next meeting to enjoy.
