KEMPTON PARK RACES 2017 -- WEDNESDAY NIGHTS #15 14th JUNE

Our fifteenth meeting of 2017 here at Kempton Park and with Royal Ascot on next week we present the warm up act (lol) the regular Wednesday nights here in Sunbury on Thames. We managed a small profit last week alas are still down by -12.5 points now to level stakes at SP. We have time to turn this around though starting tonight.

As always our focus will be on the handicap contests for each meeting but will occasionally include a feature listed or conditions event too.

Keeping records of our endeavours to a 1pt level stake at SP, naturally we will personally be looking to get better odds but for the purpose of these results we record to SP.

We will keep up with our occasional lay opportunities of short priced favourites too, as always we will keep these results separately from the handicap figures.

This week is our fifteenth meeting for 2017 and we are expecting a seven race card tonight with six handicaps for us to delve into so we will be busy tonight. This evenings action will commence at 18:10 with a Class 5 handicap over a mile.

Here's a link to this Wednesday's race card;
EVENING RACECARD

The going on the polytrack surface is described as 'standard to slow' and the current weather forecast is for sunny but humid day with a max temperature of about 25C when the meeting gets underway and looks likely to remain muggy throughout the evening.

Here are our selections for this evenings 5 handicap races

(apologies for just the selections really pushed for time this week);

18:10 -- 1m Apprentice Handicap.

BELIEVE IT [WON 9/4] / ATAMAN [5th 6/1].

18:40 -- 6f Handicap (3yo).

CAJMERE [2nd 33/1] / TEAM MEETING [6th 2/1].

19:40 -- 1m 2f 219yds Handicap (London Middle Distance Series).

SECRET SOUL [7th 7/1] / ORITHIA [4th 12/1].

20:10 -- 7f Fillies Handicap (3yo).

20:40 -- 7f Handicap.

GOLLY MISS MOLLY [WON 8/1]  / IN THE HOUSE [11th 50/1].

Staked -- 12 points.
Returns -- 15.25 points.
Results will appear later tonight, hopefully we can wipe out the current deficit of -12.5 points that we bring forward to this round of racing here. A profit tonight albeit a small one up +3.25 points with the three winners and some nice places too. So we've a loss of -9.25 for the next meeting and we'll try again in a few weeks time after Royal Ascot has passed.

Lays -- Currently stands as 6 from 9 successful lays.
None for tonight.

We've Royal Ascot to enjoy next week so will have a couple of weeks off and return back at this course on 28th June
