2015/2016 SEASON -- AFC WIMBLEDON V ACCRINGTON STANLEY KO 3PM

SATURDAY 5th MARCH 2016

Slightly mixed week having lost (as usual) to Oxford last Saturday the Dons came from behind to gain a credible 1-1 draw away to the league leaders Northampton on Tuesday night.

This Saturday we welcome the mighty Accrington Stanley, sure all the squad will be drinking plenty of milk in advance and pulling together against one of the main playoff contenders. We have a balanced set of results again them, usually plenty of goals too here are our recent games in the last few seasons

First Half Comment;

The Dons kicked off the match ... and that was about it as I can find nothing much to report after the first 30 mins of "action", a few wild shots that failed to trouble anyone unless you were standing wide of the goal.

Heading towards half time (thank god) and aside from a few fouls and a couple of corners this has to rank as one of the worst halves of football ever. Even the ref has been boring failing to book anyone or get anything wrong. Lol Zzzzz

F/T Score – 0 - 0

Match Summary;
This was a bore draw of epic proportions, even the late sending off of the Accrington goalkeeper Ross Etheridge for a handball outside the area couldn't help things.

Man of the Match – No one.

Referee --
Referee for our Accy's game is Dean Whitestone, 41.

A Kentish Town based policeman from Northampton. Football League ref since 2006. Steve Evans really hates him so he must be fantastic. Had trials as a keeper but was crap, and his dad was also a ref, so failure runs very deep in this family.

Attendance – 3,627 .

Next match:
Saturday 12th March vs Morecambe (Away)
League Two 3:00pm
