2021/22 FA CUP SECOND ROUND DRAW - MONDAY 8th NOVEMBER 2021

The draw for the second round proper of the 2021-22 Emirates FA Cup will take place on Monday 8th November after the final tie of the first round and should be shown live on the ITV4 channel in the Uk. The Dons are in the second round courtesy of a 1-0 win against Guiseley earned by Ollie Palmer's first half goal.

The majority of the first round ties will be completed this weekend although no doubt a number of replays at this stage, however the draw will be held on Monday 8th November for the second round ties with the final first round action seeing Salford City against Dagenham & Redbridge which has been selected for live TV coverage on ITV 4. Their visit to Victoria Road has been moved to Monday 8th November, and will kick-off at 19:45 GMT. The Ammies will have hopes of reaching the Second Round for a second consecutive season, but will be given a thorough examination by a Dagenham side currently sixth in the Vanarama National League. In the UK the BBC / ITV will now share the broadcasts of the FA Cup ties, this arrangement will continue until the 2024-25 season at least. Believe we shall see Shaun Wright-Phillips and Rachel Yankey in control of the balls out of the 'hat' tonight. 

BBC Sport will show 18 Live matches per season, with highlights of the FA Community Shield. BBC Sport has second and third picks of matches in the Second Round, Fourth Round and the Quarter Finals, as well as first and fourth pick of matches the First, Third and Fifth Rounds, and first pick of the Semi-finals.

ITV Sport will show at least 20 live matches per season, plus live coverage of the FA Community Shield. ITV has first pick and fourth pick of matches in the Second Round, Fourth Round and the Quarter Finals, as well as second and third picks for the First, Third and Fifth Rounds and second pick of the Semi-finals.

My team AFC Wimbledon are ball No 27, Other notable clubs to look for include Portsmouth (10) and Charlton (33) while there are a number of non league sides still in hoping for a good tie to give them a shout of the 3rd round. FC Halifax (19), Boreham Wood (24), St Albans City (17) who beat League Two leaders Forest Green on Sunday night and the final number 40 will guarantee a non league team's passage too, Gateshead face a replay against Altrincham. Buxton, of the seventh-tier Northern Premier League Premier Division, are the lowest ranked team left in the competition after a 1-0 win over York and will be ball no 25.

The Full 2nd round draw will appear here during the evening as the ties are confirmed ... matches to be played over the period of 3rd - 6th December. The prize fund has also been reduced this year, similar to last season, with figures returning to those last used in the 2017–18 FA Cup the winners in round two will therefore pick up £34,000 in prize money for their efforts.
