Yes the football league season is over, the FA Cup is Arsenal's still and tonight is the Champions League (whatever that is) so we immediately turn to tennis and cricket ... yawn.
Had enough of that so until the Rugby World Cup arrives let's have a look ahead to AFC Wimbledon’s pre-season schedule which is already taking shape with matches as follows:
JULY
Sat 11th -- Watford (home) 3.00 pm
Tues 14th -- Basingstoke Town (away) 7.45 pm
Sat 18th -- Millwall (home) 3.00 pm
Sun 26th -- TBC (La Manga) TBC
Thur 30th -- Kingstonian (home / away you choose) 7.45 pm
AUGUST
Sat 1st Cheltenham Town 3.00 pm (home)
If they announce any more I'll be sure to update here, also waiting on more details of the away trip to La Manga. At the moment I think it's just a few days training camp for the squad but they did a similar one to Italy a few years back and will not be surprised if they don't find a low league Spanish side to kick about with.
I should be able to make the Watford and Cheltenham home games on their respective Saturdays but it's handy that I have recently secured a new job in Kingston upon Thames so mid week games are now just a couple of stops on the bus away. Therefore I may pop in for the Kingstonian game too on the Thursday night end July.
In the meantime I'll enjoy the Epsom Derby today, perhaps the Champions League tonight, and F1 from Canada tomorrow.
