PONTEFRACT SEASON 2014

[FRIDAY 23rd May]

The fourth meeting of the season from Pontefract, and their first evening contest for us to feast upon. 

So far so good as we are carrying forward a profit of +11.5 points to a level stake at SP though as I am using the Betfair odds and their 'place' market too am considerable ahead of that value to date.

Racing commences at 6.30pm Friday evening. 

6.30 -- I'M SUPER TOO [4th 9/2], TOGA TIGER [5th 11/2]

7.00 -- FLYING POWER [6th 18/1], ARAMIST [WON 5/2]

7.30 -- KASB [2nd 4/9], BOND'S GIRL [WON 10/1] -- Exacta paid £17.60

8.00 -- LINE OF REASON [2nd 100/30], TEETOTAL [WON 3/1] -- Exacta paid £14.90

8.30 -- POWER UP [6th 11/2], L GE R [N/R]

9.00 -- IN FOCUS [5th 6/1], ETERNITYS GATE [2nd 100/30]

RESULTS -- Another successful day here, and with three winners, three places (plus couple of forecasts which are NOT included in the results) means we end the day ahead once again with a daily profit of +7.5 points to a level stake at SP.

This added to our current tally gives us +19 points profit after 4 meetings. The season has begun well and we are ahead of target based on the previous couple of seasons. 

Still a long way to go and we will get away to Ireland for a little while and return ready for the next meeting on MONDAY 9th JUNE

[WEDNESDAY 30th APRIL]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

The third of this season's race meetings from Pontefract, so we continue with our very simple but seemingly effective betting system. 

We will aim to use the Betfair 'place' market to hopefully add to our returns. All bets will be stated here beforehand although for recording purposes the results will be shown to level stakes at SP. 

Having started off well with the opening two meeting giving some nice winners and some places too we are already ahead by 12 points at SP and much better when taking the early shows and using the likes of Betfair. 

Racing commences at 2.10pm. 

2.10 -- BOBBY'S FLYER [5th 22/1], RED CONNECT [3rd 5/2]

2.45 -- YAWAIL [NR], MONTONE [7th 8/1]

3.20 -- DUKE OF GRAZEON [8th 3/1], DARK OCEAN [9th 2/1]

3.55 -- A STAR IN MY EYE [3rd 11/4], MAVEN [WON 4/1]

4.25 -- FILAMENT OF GOLD [6th 12/1], MR GALLIVANTER [2nd 5/2]

5.00 -- MON PETIT SECRET [8th 33/1], JAEGER TRAIN [NR]

5.45 -- TIME OF MY LIFE [5th 5/1], EVER FORTUNE [WON 11/2]

Was not as spectacular as the opening meetings of the season but none the less picked up couple of winners and close couple of other times that overall we did end up down 0.5points. 

So only a small loss on the day leaving us with 11.5 points to carry forth to meeting four.

[MONDAY 14th APRIL]

The second of this season's race meetings from Pontefract and so we continue with our simple but effective system. If you didn't see our previous post we are backing horses drawn in stalls 1 and 2 through the card. Statistically this has shown a profit through the season. 

We will aim to use the Betfair Place market to hopefully add to our returns. All bets will be stated here beforehand although for recording purposes the results will be shown to level stakes at SP. 

Having started off with the opening meeting giving us two winners and some places too we are already ahead +8 points. 

Racing starts at 2.10pm.

2.10 -- IS SHE ANY GOOD [7th 12/1], DON'T TELL ANNIE [WON 4/1 (from 12/1)]

2.40 -- ROCKET RONNIE [9th 20/1], STELLAR EXPRESS [2nd 9/2 - beaten a nose.]

3.10 -- FOREST EDGE [9th 15/2], COLONEL MAK [11th 15/2]

3.40 -- LONGSHADOW [2nd 33/1], NEW YOUMZAIN [WON EVENS] Forecast - £44.05 [for info only not part of the system though we did do r/fc's personally which is nice]

4.10 -- LOCKY TAYLOR [7th], JACK BARKER [10th 66/1]

4.40 -- SEE CLEARLY [6th 8/1], SHILLITO [WON 8/1 from 12/1]

[SUMMARY OF RESULTS]
Cracking start once again with DON'T TELL ANNIE winning the opener at 4/1 SP (backed at 12/1 this morning). Very close thing in the second race too with STELLAR EXPRESS going down gamely by the shortest margin though so far our bigger priced horses are finishing out of the frame. 


Race 3 didn't go our way at all Colonal Mak making most of the running but ran out of gas in the last 1/2f. 

Race 4 was an awesome result only bettered if the placings reversed. But NEW YOUMZAIN could be just that, a close winner beating our other outsider LONGSHADOW and a nice forecast result too. 

Race 5 went the way of the bookies this time with neither selection ever getting into the race, so we just wait on the finale off in 15 mins....and BANG another winner this time with SHILLITO going in at 8/1 (taken 12/1 this morning). 

So even at SP returns we are again in profit for the 2nd meeting running. Up another 4 points to go with the 8 from meeting 1. 

Now +12 Points to a level stake at SP to go ahead with. 

Next meeting is on Wednesday 30th April. I'll be at Ascot that day celebrating my birthday with friends so will get selections up early as possible on Tuesday 29th but results will not be updated till Thursday sometime.
