PONTEFRACT SEASON 2014
[Monday 6th October]
This is our fifteenth meeting of the season from Pontefract, and we'll be praying for an awesome finish to the season.
Personally I shall be making my way back from Paris as I am attending the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe meeting on Sunday.
Paris or Yorkshire ... I'm sure they are both great, though I bet you can't get a decent Sunday roast in Paris though !!! [Yorkshire 'n Gravy ... but I digress]
Overall the season has been going well and while not spectacular it peaked early and after that we have been levelling off a bit. It's still been a system that has potential and thus far we are more than satisfied with our current standing still showing an overall profit [albeit a diminishing one] of +1.28 points to a 1 point level unit stake at SP.
Monday's 7-race card will start at 2.10;
2.10 -- EGMONT [8th 100/1], BIG BAD JACK [11th 25/1]
2.40 -- ARTHUR MARTINLEAKE [3rd 7/4], USE YOUR FILBERT [N/R]
3.10 -- MOOHAARIB [WON 3/1], POTENT EMBRACE [6th 9/2]
3.40 -- BRIGHT ABBEY [N/R], HELL HATH NO FURY [4th 33/1]
4.10 -- RANGI CHASE [WON 5/1], MR McLAREN [3rd 2/1]
4.40 -- MISTER UNO [11th 12/1], LUCKY JIM [6th 6/1]
5.10 -- WISKEE LIL [], ISABELLA BIRD [N/R]
Results will appear here later on Monday afternoon depending what time I get back and how much champagne I had the day before.
The FINAL 2014 race meeting from Pontefract will take place on Monday 20th October.
Down 1 point today after only a couple of winners, we head towards the final meeting of the season almost level for the season so it will be the make or break meeting of the year.
