WITHDRAWN DURING 1948.



 IT'S BUILT FROM A Nu-CAST KIT AND STILL IN IT'S ORIGINAL BOX WHICH BEING AROUND 20+ YEARS OLD AND MOST OF THAT TIME STORED AWAY IN A CUPBOARD HAS AGED WELL, THE ACTUAL LOCOMOTIVE ITSELF LOOKS GREAT STILL AFTER ALL THESE YEARS





Nicely detailed inside as well as out.

FOUND WHAT I BELIEVE IS THE CENTRE COACH  WHICH IS IN THE SAME LIVERY AND BUILD QUALITY TO SUGGEST THAT IT GOES WITH THE TWO BRAKE COACHES PREVIOUSLY DETAILED HERE AND LISTED ON EBAY. 




MAKES UP A NICE 3 CAR SET, HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE IN CASE THERE'S ANOTHER MAKING 4 BUT BELIEVE THIS IS IT. 



HAVE NOT LISTED THIS ITEM AS YET.

RICHARD MAUNSELL VERSION CIRCA 1928 - 1961 
EARLY BR COLOURS (STILL IN IT'S SR GREEN LIVERY WITH RED LINING, ADDITIONAL BRASS DETAIL & BR LION LOGO PLUS YELLOW NUMBERING ON CAB DOOR)


DESIGNED FOR THE SOUTHERN RAILWAY BY RICHARD MAUNSELL IN 1926, THIS MODEL BEING THE SECOND IN THE CLASS WAS BUILT MAY 1928.


THEY WERE INTENDED FOR THE CONTINENTAL BOAT TRAINS BETWEEN LONDON VICTORIA AND DOVER HARBOUR, SIXTEEN OF THEM WERE CONSTRUCTED REPRESENTING THE MOST POWERFUL (ALTHOUGH NOT THE MOST SUCCESSFUL) SOUTHERN 4-6-0 DESIGN. THERE WERE ALL NAMED AFTER FAMOUS ADMIRALS.

THIS LOCO WAS TYPICAL OF THE GOODS TRAINS FOUND AROUND OUR HOMETOWN OF FELTHAM FROM IT'S CREATION IN THE EARLY 1930's UP TO THE END OF STEAM UNDER THE BR BANNER IN THE LATE 1960's.







PAINTED IN IT'S SOUTHERN REGION GREEN LIVERY WITH WHITE PIPING, ADDITIONAL BRASS DETAIL & YELLOW LETTERING / NUMBERING. THERE IS PLENTY OF DETAIL TO BE SEEN INSIDE AND OUT.



BUILT FROM A DJH KIT AND STILL IN IT'S ORIGINAL BOX WHICH BEING AROUND 20 YEARS OLD AND MOST OF THAT TIME STORED AWAY IN A CUPBOARD HAS A LITTLE WEAR, BUT THE ACTUAL LOCOMOTIVE ITSELF LOOKS GREAT STILL AFTER ALL THESE YEARS AND HAS BEEN TESTED ON A ROLLING ROAD AS I DON'T PERSONALLY HAVE A OO GAUGE LAYOUT TO TEST ON. 





THIS COMPLETED WORKING MODEL ALL BUILT BY MY LATE FATHER (MR GEOFF TYLER) CIRCA 1990's. A RAILWAY ENTHUSIAST AND EXPERT MODELLER FOR DECADES HE WAS INVOLVED WITH THE BBC RAILWAY SOCIETY AT LANGHAM HOUSE AS WELL AS MOTS PARK, WHERE WE BOTH HELPED BUILD THE 5" GAUGE LIVE STEAM RAILWAY THERE, MORE RECENTLY A MEMBER OF THE HILLINGDON RAILWAY MODELLERS [http://hillingdonrailwaymodellers.co.uk/] WORKING ON THEIR O GAUGE LAYOUTS AND BUILDING A NUMBER OF EXCELLENT MODELS TOO IN OO AND O GAUGE. SADLY WE LOST HIM VERY SUDDENLY DURING 2012 AND AS SUCH WE'VE A LARGE STOCK OF BOTH GAUGES TO BE CLEARED.
