Week to go, in the meantime lets all go to Bognor.

We've a week to go till the opening ceremony of the 30th Olympiad (even though the football starts Wed) so in the meantime we have horse racing at Ascot or the chance to nip down to the seaside at Bognor for another AFC Wimbledon friendly?

The Dons go to Bognor with new signing Pim Balkestein ready to pull on the yellow and blue shirt again having signed this week from Brentford.

A shame that ex Bognor forward Jason Prior will only be able to watch from the stands while he still recovers from a double leg break at Crawley in April, but I'm sure he'll get a good cheer from all and will be ready for the second part of the season.

Racing tips;

ASCOT (BBC2)

1.35 -- OUR BOY JACK
2.45 -- FIRE SHIP
4.35 -- ST NICHOLAS ABBEY (NAP)

MARKET RASEN (CH4)
2.50 -- SOLARAS EXHIBITION
3.25 -- QULINTON

Have a good weekend.

Enjoying the rain , the Tennis, the rain, the F1 Qualifying, more rain and Racing at Sandown Park.

Ladies final day at Wimbledon and should be a stroll for Serena against her injured opponent so a 2-0 set win is guaranteed, surely? Nope ...

F1 qualifying has been messed up by the rain in Northamptonshire, more rain expected tonight and tomorrow so ought to be exciting if it's not always being interrupted by the safety car. Lewis Hamilton to win his home GP again.

Horse racing has been decimated this week due to water logging, we lost our second meeting at Carlisle so only updated racing at Sandown for this afternoon. The NAP is due off at 4.20 and it's CHILBERTA KING to follow up in the race he won last year.

4.20 CHILBERTA KING
