BACK AND LAY DAY 7 - SUN 23rd JAN 2011

NAP
SHARED MOMENT [4.45 KEMPTON PARK]

Small field again for the finale, but should pay to wait and get on recent winner SHARED MOMENT who won that race a shade cosily than reported as was clear in the final furlong so this time Chris [Catlin] might play his hand a little later.

AVONROSE and SONG TO THE MOON are closely weighted but the latter could do little after losing a lot of distance at the start, if getting away better today could go better and is the forecast option for us

LAY
PERLACHY [2.40 KEMPTON PARK]
Has winning form over at Wolves so might find this change of direction something to overcome.

GOOD LUCK

BACK AND LAY DAY 6 - SAT 22nd JAN 2011

OFF TO ASCOT ON THE WEEKEND

NAP
PLENTY POCKET [1.15 ASCOT]

A nice race for a newcomer to come and take advantage of the 10lb weight concession from likely odds on fav GRANDOUET, and the selection we go with is PLENTY POCKET [NAP] owned by Kauto Star's Clive Swift.

A winner at Longchamp on the flat as a 3yo clearly well regarded and looks good value against the fav.

LAY
CAROLE'S LEGACY [1.50 ASCOT]

Has been a model of consistency over hurdles and fences but has never raced here to date and 3m looks a bit far under top weight so we'll look elsewhere. Laid at 11/8 this morning, fancy Sparky May to upset.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND

HI
HAVE BEEN AWAY FOR THE PAST WEEK BUT BACK AND RARING TO GO NOW

NAP
LADY HIGHT [3.00 FAKENHAM]

Gets all the allowances from the other fancied horse (Mr Jay Dee in particular) and looks set for a win over hurdles under champion jockey AP McCoy.

LAY
RANJOBAIE [1.40 PLUMPTON]

Jumped poorly latest and looks better on faster ground, opposed in small field with HAVE YOU SEEN ME preferred.

GOOD LUCK

BACK AND LAY DAY 3 -- JAN 3rd 2011

JAN 3

NAP
FLEUR DE VASSY [1.10 LINGFIELD]

Small field helps, returning to form on prospect of recent run at Plumpton and should appreciate the trip more than likely fav PETE THE FEAT.

Late Non Runner.

LAY
MORNING SUPREME [3.15 CORK]

Tricky to go in opposing a Willie Mullins odds on shot, but having failed to complete in a similar race and with the yard seeing some of their other inmates failing to fire has to be opposed at the odds today.

In fact has most to fear from stablemate KILLULTAGH QUEEN.

MS Won 4/6F ... small loss at odds on, will be other days.

GOOD LUCK
DAISY

Sunday, 2 January 2011

BACK ONE, LAY ONE -- JAN 2nd 2011

JAN 2

NAP
MASTER OVERSEER [2.10 PLUMPTON]

Pipe yard in good form of late and he prepares his horses for these "nationals" so it's no surprise he sends this for the Sussex National, unbeaten in 3 starts last year, including a win here. 2nd 9/2

LAY
RUPERT LAMB [12.50 AYR]

Opposing the 11/8F in this maiden contest, with the likes of FORTUNI and LADY BLUESKY more than a match here today in a large field where anything can happen.

LOST 2nd 10/11

Better day

GOOD LUCK
DAISY

Saturday, 1 January 2011

BACK ONE, LAY ONE -- JAN 1st 2011.

JAN 1

NAP
SWAY [2.00 CHELTENHAM]
Take the 6/1 generally available. Novice chase, selection on the upgrade and receiving plenty of weight from opponents, will stay, improving, big chance today. 6th 11/2

LAY
BOB LINGO [3.15 FAIRYHOUSE [IRE]]
Fallen in 2 from 4 starts over fences so opposed again on that basis, can put it together but percentage call is to be a layer instead. WON 7/1!! Damn.

GOOD LUCK
