THURSDAY NAP! [ANOTHER WINNER]

A winner and a decent place bet so far this week, we look at the offerings before Xmas and think perhaps we should save our cash for Kempton. But one bet stands out and its at Southwell.

NAP 1.30 SOUTHWELL
DARK FALCON -- WON 3/1

That result, together with Monday's 13/2 winner and Tuesday's 9/1 place gives us a healthy pot for events on Boxing Day. We'll be off at Kempton to see the King George but whatever you doing have a wonderful Christmas and spread glad tidings to all your family and friends.

Merry Christmas
DAISY

Monday, 19 December 2011

Excellent winner yesterday, double up on Tuesday ...

Well done Joshua Moore getting our Nap REBLIS home by 11 lengths at 13/2 !!

NEVER IN DOUBT

SO THAT SHOULD HELP COVER THE CHRISTMAS EXPENSES, NOW LETS AIM TO GET SOME MONEY IN THE BANK BEFORE BOXING DAY !!

TUES NAP
LAJIDAAL 1.00 TAUNTON
Placed 3rd 9/1.

LADS XMAS DO TONIGHT. RACING NAP FOR SUNDAY ...

IT'S TIME FOR THE GUYS XMAS DO THIS YEAR BEING HELD IN TWICKENHAM SO NO TIME FOR RACING TODAY AND PUTTING UP THE SUNDAY NAP ALREADY IN CASE I'M HAVING A LIE IN TOMORROW.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARETH. AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOO KATE B, HOPE THE WEDDING HAS GONE OFF WELL IN SUNSHINE.

NAP FOR SUNDAY
2.45 KEMPTON PARK

AVALON 20/1 [Win and Place]

Dropped to claiming class, a Course and Distance winner here in March has also been placed here twice at 2 and while recent handicap form has not been special this event should give him another chance to make all and gain another win. Price very generous, expect it to drop significantly and as long as the 8 declared stand up a good place option at least.

SUNDAY. FA CUP REACTION. SUNDAY NAP FROM KELSO

Hmmm...lost 3-1 so the cup can do one for another season. Bit pissed off as I thought we'd do them today and no doubt a plum draw will go their way on Sunday afternoon. No, lets not be bad losers, good luck to em.

DECEMBER. FA CUP ROUND 2 AND WOLVES EVE BET LATEST.

HELLO

BEEN BUSY AND SHOCKED THAT IT'S DECEMBER ALREADY. TODAY IS FA CUP ROUND 2 AND THE MIGHTY WOMBLES OF AFC WIMBLEDON TRAVEL NORTH TO BRADFORD CITY.

HAVING BEATEN THEM 2-1 AT VALLEY PARADE EARLIER IN THE SEASON YOU'D THINK WE'D BE FAVOURITES BUT FORM HAS TAILED OFF A LITTLE AND WHILE BRADFORD ARE STILL TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF LEAGUE TWO JUST 2 POINTS OFF A RELEGATION PLACE THEIR SQUAD IS STILL MORE THAN CAPABLE OF GETTING THROUGH THIS TIE.

HOPEFULLY THE DONS CAN PULL OFF A WIN AND ENTER THE 3rd ROUND FOR THE FIRST TIME UNDER THE AFC BANNER (YES WIMBLEDON WON THE FA CUP IN 1988 !!). A BIG DRAW AGAINST SAY ARSENAL AWAY WOULD DO WONDERS FOR OUR BANK BALANCE WITH A NEW STAND TO FINANCE.

COME ON YOU DONS

RACING SAT NIGHT WOLVES;

5.50 -- CHOKIDAR
6.20 -- RIO GRANDE
6.50 -- GOING GREY
7.20 -- JUSTONEFORTHEROAD
7.50 -- HINTON ADMIRAL (NAP)

9.20 -- NINA ROSE

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND
DAISY

Wednesday, 23 November 2011

Another winning Nap and the Wombles march on into round 2 of FA Cup.

Hope you got on Tuesdays Nap SAME DIFFERENCE who trotted up at 7/2 having been available at 6/1 earlier. The Nb coming home a fair 2nd at 7/2 under AP McCoy so a good day there and topped off with the victory for AFC Wimbledon beating Scunthorpe 1-0 at their place and will now have an away tie with Bradford City in round 2.

A well fought victory after a run of 5 draws (I exclude the Surrey Senior Cup win by the reserves) hopefully our form will continue to go upwards when we travel to Burton on the weekend.

Wednesday racing from Lingfield, Fontwell, Kempton and Wetherby. We have one from each today for you to consider;

TRIPLE CHARM -- 1.05 LINGFIELD NAP
MY MATILDA -- 1.50 FONTWELL Nb
DUSKY BOB -- 3.05 WETHERBY
CLINICAL -- 6.35 KEMPTON

Have a good Wednesday

TUESDAY RACING

A great result on Monday with victories for both the NAP and NB at 7/2 and 11/10 respectively.

Lets see how we do with Tuesdays selection after looking through the cards at LINGFIELD, SOUTHWELL and SEDGEFIELD.

NAP -- SAME DIFFERENCE [1.50 LINGFIELD]
NB -- RAY DIAMOND [2.50 LINGFIELD]

More later and an update from AFC WIMBLEDON's FA CUP 1st ROUND REPLAY at Scunthorpe United.

Sunday match reaction and Mondays tips...

CHELSEA 1 -- 2 LIVERPOOL

Five bookings in the game but we should have had our Red Card in the first half where a clash with Ashley Cole and Craig Bellamy (surprise surprise) went unseen by the referee but the cameras picked it up and a sure straight red there for the Welsh forward.

MONDAY RACING is from Kempton Park, Ffos Las and Ludlow. We'll feature Kempton and this should be another bumper day for trainer Nicky Henderson who has favourite chances in the first four races at the Sunbury track.

MONDAY
NAP -- WHOOPS A DAISY [1.30 KEMPTON] WON 7/2
Nb -- MANGONAL [3.40 KEMPTON] WON 11/10

Have a great Monday DAISY XX

SUNDAY RACING & CHELSEA vs LIVERPOOL

Sunday Racing at EXETER and TOWCESTER as well as PUNCHESTOWN in Ireland. Selections to follow but want to highlight today's premiership game CHELSEA vs LIVERPOOL.

Two outstanding bets for this game based on their equal hatred for each other (well the fans dislike one another) and a game that has a better than average change of a RED CARD. So backing the bookings market for one at over 45 points (or over 9 on BF) and also back the RED CARD to be shown market and PENALTY TAKEN markets at any price around 3/1 or greater.

NAP -- MASTER MILAN [2.45 Tow]
NB -- GREAT BOSS [3.45 Tow]

More for Monday later.
Have a good Sunday.

SATURDAY NEWS FROM WOLVES

Missed a deadline to get afternoon in formation up here for Sat but do hope that LONG RUN gets round safe, that said he's odds on and no bet for me I might try DIAMOND HARRY against him at better odds. [HAYDOCK 3.05]

Also think that Newcastle at 10/1 to beat Manchester City (even with all their stars and money) looks a huge price today. Shocks happen and Newcastle are flying high too, worth a score anyway.

WOLVES
5.50 - WHAT ABOUT YOU
6.20 - ADRANIAN
6.50 - QUITE A THING
7.20 - DIALOGUE
7.50 - LORD NANDI
8.20 - I'M HARRY

STATE OF ORIGIN 3 ... The Result

QUEENSLAND 34 bt NSW 24

The maroons win yet another Origin series 2-1 after taking the final game by 10 points.

BACK AND LAY DAY 32 -- SATURDAY 9th JULY 2011

NAP -- DELEGATOR
3.35 NEWMARKET

17 go to post for the Group 1 Darley July Cup and it's our hope that the rain stays away for DELEGATOR [NAP] to take his chance.

Godolphin brought him back from stud duties to go sprinting and it paid off at York in a Group 2 and only the weather has prevented us from seeing him win again.

LAY -- DONCASTER ROVER
4.35 CHESTER

Respected around this track DONCASTER ROVER is well fancied but a high draw (9) and doubts about the 7f trip means he's a lay for us today.

ROYAL ASCOT 2011 - DAY 5 SATURDAY

SATURDAY

FIRST UP AN APOLOGY THAT I WAS UNABLE TO GET FRIDAYS MESSAGE UP HERE, YOU DIDN'T MISS MUCH THOUGH THE NAP WOULD HAVE BEEN WORLD DOMINATION WHO WAS WELL BEAT, THE LAY WAS GREEN DESTINY WHO ALSO LOST AT 6/4F BUT WE CAN'T CREDIT THAT ONE NOW.

NAP -- OVERTURN 5.35 ROYAL ASCOT

LAY -- MAYBE 2.30 ROYAL ASCOT

ROYAL ASCOT 2011 - DAY 3 THURSDAY

THURSDAY

NAP -- 3.45 FAME AND GLORY

Has been prepared to follow in the mighty YEATS footsteps and has plenty of class at distances up to 1m 6f, so we expect his class to help him get the trip off a decent pace. Doesn't look an exceptional renewal, with plenty of the usual suspects GEORDIELAND, KASBAH BLISS and BLUE BAJAN.

Of the rest it's possible DUNCAN has more to offer over this trip, but it's the O'Brien horse we put our faith in.

LAY -- 5.00 MARKSMANSHIP
Big step up from winning a Curragh maiden into this Group 3 and with so many other decent horses here like TAZAHUM who at least steps up from a listed race.

GOOD LUCK
DAISY

ROYAL ASCOT 2011 - DAY 2 WEDNESDAY

WEDNESDAY

NAP -- 5.00 SHUMOOS
Held in high esteem by trainer and connections, and the form has been boosted by the victory on Tuesday of FREDERICK ENGELS in the Windsor Castle Stakes.

LAY -- 2.30 FURY
We'll know our fate early on day two with the Lay as we set about getting FURY beaten over 7f. 5th to the flying Frankel in the 2000 Guineas but beaten 18l in all, and had to make way again at Epsom over a mile. A dual winner over 7f as a 2yo but you would have expected some improvement for the step up and as that hasn't really come yet I would want to LAY at 3/1.

GOOD LUCK
DAISY

ROYAL ASCOT 2011 - DAY 1 TUESDAY

TUESDAY

NAP - 2.30 GOLDIKOVA

Strongly fancied to take care of Canford Cliffs, this multiple Group 1 winner worldwide is an amazing price to win here.

LAY - 5.00 JUNIOR
Up 10lbs from last years win, but was allowed to dominate the field that day and unlikely to catch them out twice. Respected but with decent opposition getting weight all round has to be opposed this time.

Good luck
DAISY

STATE OF ORIGIN 2

GAME 2 IN THIS SEASON'S RENEWAL WILL TAKE PLACE ON WEDNESDAY 15th AT THE ANZ STADIUM NSW, WITH QUEENSLAND HOLDING A 1-0 LEAD IN THE 3 MATCH SERIES.

Origin II Result: New South Wales: 18 Queensland: 8
New South Wales won the second game of the State of Origin 2011 to keep the series alive going into the third game. Two tries in the second-half to the Blues sealed the game as Queensland were unable to make an impact later into the game.
The game opened with early points to Queensland, a penalty to the Maroons allowing Thurston to kick a penalty goal for Queensland to grab a two point lead.
Shortly after with the Blues on attack a penalty gave Jamie Soward a shot at goal, which dampened a strong push by New South Wales. Soward hit the post to keep Queensland with a two point advantage.
Cameron Smith then made New South Wales pay, barging over from dummy-half for a soft try after twenty-five minutes, to give Queensland a handy 8-0 lead over the Blues.
Luke Lewis then scored for New South Wales from a Mitchell Pearce kick to get the Blues on the board after twenty-eight minutes, and Jamie Soward converted from far on the left touchline to get the game back to within two points.
However, neither team could get the ball over the line, and the teams went into half-time with New South Wales trailing Queensland by two.
After half-time, Queensland mistakes handed New South Wales the ball, and off a repeat set New South Wales attacked the line with an over-the-top pass from Mitchell Pearce finding winger Will Hopoate, who stretched out brilliantly to touch the ball down for a try with just millimetres to spare.
Soward converted another tough goal and the Blues were up 12-8 with half an hour on the clock.
The game continued to flow back and forth, but New South Wales were let off the hook by the Queensland side which made errors on key plays.
The Blues then sealed the game with just three minutes to go, Jamie Soward making a half-break to pop a ball to a steaming Anthony Minichello who hit the line to score a try on his return game in a strong performance by the fullback.
Soward converted his only easy shot on goal to give the Blues a ten point lead with not enough time on the clock for the Maroons to consider a comeback.
The Origin series moves to Queensland for the final game on July 6th at an already sold-out Suncorp Stadium. The Blues will be buoyed by the win, but will face a tougher task on Queensland home soil.
Man of the match -- NSW Captain Paul Gallen

STATE OF ORIGIN 1

Queensland have edged closer to a sixth straight State of Origin series win after overcoming New South Wales 16-12 in a thrilling series opener at Suncorp Stadium.
The Blues fought back from 10-nil down to lead 12-10 with ten minutes left on the clock before Billy Slater scored the winner with seven minutes to go.
The Maroons dominated early, with tries to Johnathan Thurston and Jharal Yow Yeh earning a 10-point lead against a determined Blues defence.
Second-half tries to Mitchell Pearce and Michael Jennings raised hopes of a memorable victory for NSW before Thurston and Darren Lockyer combined to set up Slater for a memorable win.

AFC WIMBLEDON BACK IN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE

"NINE YEARS, IT ONLY TOOK NINE YEARS .... "

THAT WAS THE CHANT FROM THE DONS FAITHFUL SHORTLY AFTER CAPTAIN FANTASTIC DANNY KEDWELL SCORED THE DECISIVE PENALTY TO SEND WIMBLEDON INTO LEAGUE 2 (DIVISION 4 IN OLD MONEY)

YES WE ARE BACK. REFORMED IN 2002 AFTER A TRAVESTY OF A DECISION BY THE FA AND THE SUBSEQUENT RELOCATION OF OUR LEAGUE PLACE TO MILTON KEYNES WIMBLEDON AND IT'S FANS HAVE SHOWN THE FA AND INDEED THE WORLD HOW FOOTBALL SHOULD BE RUN, BUILD FROM THE LOWEST LEAGUE, BELIEVE IN YOUR GOALS, AND YOU CAN RISE UP THROUGH THE SYSTEM LEGALLY AND GAIN A LEAGUE PLACE THE CORRECT WAY. HARD WORK AND AMAZING FANS.
